My name is Rose Hamdi (Small) and here is our story:

I met my husband Nael here in Toledo, Ohio, 22 years ago.Throughout the course of our life, we had 2 beautiful children: the eldest, Yousif, who graduated this year as valedictorian, and a daughter, Yasameen, still in high school and starting college this year.  I'm very proud of them for being able to accomplish all of this all the while seeing their dad go through all of his mental and physical anguish which resulted from his kidney failure 15 years ago while I was pregnant with Yasameen.

Twenty years ago when I married my husband Nael, I made a commitment to him  whether he be healthy or sick.  So here we are after 20 years and 18 surgeries later holding it together by the grace of God.  Nael's  2 most  resent surgeries were that his right leg was amputated above the knee in Dec. of 2006, and in April of this year, he had 1/2 of his left foot amputated. After all of these surgeries, dialysis 4 times a week, and needing to make changes in our home to accommodate his condition, we have accumulated a lot of medical bills. We have been trying to pay them on our own, but it is becoming very difficult for us financially.

If you could, I would be ever so grateful if you would try to help us out. Thank you very, very much.

A very dear friend of ours put this website together to help us in our time of need. May God bless you for taking the time to visit this website.

Sincerely,
Rose Hamdi Small

My husband Nael is now placed back on the transplant list. He has waited 15 years for a kidney transplant and his health is deteriorating. The longer a person is on the transplant list the less his chances are of him receiving a kidney, unless he has a live donor. If anyone would like to donate one of their kidneys, please contact the following person:
